Providing a high quality exhibition space for contemporary artwork is an integral part of Corsica Studios. We are especially keen to present a programme of events that promotes and reflects the wide ranging artistic practices that are currently taking place within the Corsica Studios network of artists. We aim to create an atmosphere that encourages collaboration and a framework in which this can evolve. As well as establishing an on-line internet presence we hope to extend our network across the globe, developing lasting links with other international groups.
In order to keep in touch with fellow artists and to maintain a sense of continuity throughout our projects we have formed the Corsica Arts Club. This allows us to keep members up to date with the various events and exhibitions that take place here and also to build links between the different people who make use of the studios. We are aiming to hold regular events at the studios which will give a platform for artists from diverse backgrounds to showcase new work or performances. We welcome submissions and ideas for future events.
