Raw Blue Cheese - Dec 17th

Raw Blue Cheese - December 17th

9 pm - 2 am £5

Dust off your Adidas fat laces, Cazals and Fat Gooses, Farm Fresh Promotions brings Raw Blue Cheese a new bi-monthly Hip Hop event which will bring back all the innovation and groundbreaking sensations you got from that original Hip Hop vibe.  These nights promise to inject some much needed fun and quirkiness to the scene without ever diluting the raw essence.

December 17th will see Corsica Studios transformed into a non-homogenised, full phat zone with an all star line-up to keep the heads nodding.

This is a not to be missed event, as well as first class music you will also be entertained with features such as the memory wall which will exhibit personal photo collections of old school Hip Hop luminaries like Cookie Crew, Rodney P etc, showcasing how kids represented Hip Hop back in the day.

Bring out your inner b-boy/girl with our retro dressing up box then strike a pose and our vintage camera will capture your Hip Hop couture moment which can be yours to treasure.

If you need your cranial juices flowing get your battle on in the retro board game area.

Headlining on the night will be one of the UK’s finest mc’s, the mighty Juice Aleem off the back of his hugely acclaimed album “Jerusalaam Come” supported ably by DJ Moyma, Mad Flow and Blackitude.

There will also be performances by emcees on the rise: Dexter St Jock, Justice (Hotep Productions/Shadowless) who appears in the new UK movie “1 Day”, a gangland movie set in Birmingham which is drawing comparisons to classic film Boyz In The Hood, and last but not least M.E. (Marcus Explains).

Dirty Canvas vs Trouble Vision

X-Mas Showdown.....

TROUBLE VISION & DIRTY CANVAS return in conjunction with each other for the last time this year with a lineup that Hyponik have described as “a who’s-who of the very finest exponents of London music circa 2010.”

The perpetual globetrotting beat-peddler Sinden heads up proceedings with one of his famed and ever popular tropical infused house-come-garage-come-UK funky DJ sets that will inevitably get the party bouncing. Exceptionally heavy-weight support comes in the form of the original UK garage tag-team Heartless Crew. Fresh from headlining shows across London including FWD>> at Matter and Yoyo at the Notting Hill Arts Club, this show promises to be one of the highlights of 2009 for us. Next up comes a live set from Dizzee Rascal’s label mates The Newham Generals. With releases out on Shy FX’s Digital Soundboy imprint and Dizzee’s own Dirty Stank, the Generals are swiftly becoming regarded as the crème de la crème of the grime scene with BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe recently putting their forthcoming single ‘Hard’ in his top ten for the month. Fabric regular and Santigold tour DJ Martelo, grime originator and Planet-Mu/Hyperdub signee Terror Danjah, 2-step man of the moment Brackles and Ramp Recordings’ Hot City make up further support with The Heatwave, Alex Nut (rinse fm) and residents bring up the rear.

Throw in the ever-popular Silent Disco with a whole host of heavily over qualified/good time DJs, a ton of free Trainerspotter goodies and limited edition Trouble Vision and Dirty Canvas t-shirts, and you have the makings of an epic Xmas party and with tickets going for only £5 if you’re quick, you’ll have plenty left over to buy your presents!

Guerrilla Zoo presents Oro de Ojo, our 1st party of 2010! We kick start the '10s with a special carnival of mayhem!

Oro de Ojo is absurd, surreal, confusing & somewhat gloriously paniked party! Come immerse yourself in a world of psychedelic strangeness and mystical interventions inspired by the work of cult film maker Alejandro Jodorowsky.
Featuring surreal live performance, absurd art sessions, nonsensical live music and psychedelic/psychotic art installations.

Participate rather just spectate! Be a part of the event! - Dress code applies:
Fools, Alchemists, Gods of War, Merchants of Sex, Sages of the Desert, Esoteric Cowboys, Magicians, High Priestesses, The Moon, The Sun, Traffickers of Confusion, Surrealists, Absurdists, Religious Nuts, Transcenders of Space and Time, Empresses, Emperors, The Hierophant, The Lovers, Hermits, Justice Givers, Hanged Man, Death, Temperance, The Devil, and other Jodorowskian characters.

Promising psychedelic strangeness and mystical interventions, this arty party is inspired by the films of cult film-maker Alejandro Jodorowsky, who has influenced everyone from Kasabian to Bob Dylan and Peter Gabriel. The suggested dress code includes a vast variety of styles that encompasses gods of war, hermits and death, so you can be assured that this is going to be the place to have an odd time. Music comes from Agaskodo Teliverek, The Mighty Roars and Ebe Oke & The Sable Seers, while artistic performers on the bill include SybanV, Twisted Cirque, Morai Tribal Bellydance and the rather unusual bondage stylings of Esinem alongside aerial ballet and DJs.
